Introduction of FlowHub
FlowHub is a process hosting platform. We know that the code hosting platform has completed the tracking, management, and collaborative development of the code, which is very meaningful. With the continuous release of code-corresponding applications, more and more basic functions are realized. We often do not need to develop from scratch. Simple analysis tasks can be completed based on these open applications, and the combination of these applications may be able to help we complete more complex and huge analysis projects. However, due to the wide variety of languages and dependencies, how to be compatible with different applications, running and deploying these applications has become a difficult problem for many people. FlowHub encapsulates all applications based on docker technology, making different applications completely independent and not affecting each other. At the same time, it can be compatible with different cloud platforms, relying on the computing power of major cloud vendors to solve resource bottlenecks . More importantly, independent applications can be connected to each other through exposed interfaces and nested analysis, so that complex analysis processes can be quickly built.
Our goal is to build such a service to help more people solve problems quickly, reduce the complexity of the project, and avoid unnecessary development. At the same time, we also hope to invite more like-minded friends to participate together, build the FlowHub community, and continue to contribute valuable applications.
